This Privacy Policy explains how TowCars (“TowCars,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and sells personal information when you visit towcars.com (the “Site”) or submit a service request. TowCars is an information and referral service. We do not tow, buy, or ship vehicles ourselves. We connect visitors with independent towing, junk-car buying, and auto transport providers (“Partners”).
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a request form or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number and, if you provide it, your email address
- Your ZIP code
- Vehicle details, such as year, make, model, condition, and whether it runs
- Your location or pickup address, and a drop-off location if relevant
- Any other details you choose to include in your message
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the referring website, the date and time of your visit, and general location inferred from your IP address. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

3. How We Share and Sell Your Information
Partners who fulfill your request
When you submit a request, we share your request information (such as your name, phone number, ZIP code, vehicle details, and location) with one or more independent towing, junk-car buying, and/or auto transport Partners so they can contact you and offer their services. We may receive payment from Partners for these referrals. Under California law, this may be considered a “sale” of personal information. Partners use your information under their own privacy policies, and they may contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request.
Service providers
We use vendors that help us run the Site, such as web hosting, form tools, email, analytics, and security services. They may process personal information on our behalf.
Advertising and analytics partners
Third-party advertising and analytics companies may collect information through cookies and similar technologies on the Site, as described below. Allowing these companies to collect information for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under California law.

We collect this information from you directly, from your device, and from our analytics and advertising partners. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email us at autodesert01@gmail.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” and include the name and phone number you used on our forms. You can also turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Please note that if you opt out before submitting a request, we will not be able to pass your request to Partners, which is how we connect you with a provider. Information already shared with a Partner is governed by that Partner’s privacy policy, and you may need to contact the Partner directly.
How to exercise your other rights
To submit a request to know, delete, correct, or limit, email us at autodesert01@gmail.com. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching the name and phone number or email you gave us. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and ask you to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 45 days, as required by law, and will tell you if we need more time.
6. Data Retention
We keep request information for as long as needed to handle your request, keep records of referrals, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal and accounting obligations, generally no longer than 24 months after your last request unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of those tools. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at autodesert01@gmail.com and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Websites
The Site may link to other websites, including Partner and advertiser sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may also post a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change means the updated policy applies.
